Hew was a partner in a medium sized firm of accountants for many years, several of which were spent as managing partner, before it was taken over by Smith & Williamson, a national firm of accountants, in 1999 at which point he became a director of that firm. Hew left Smith & Williamson in 2007 to set up his own practice of Tittensor & Co.
Hew has a wealth of experience in providing general financial advice to small / medium sized businesses mainly in the legal and property sectors, charities and previously, several publicly listed companies.
Apart from work, Hew’s interests are golf, watching rugby, killer Sudoku, travel and building a model railway.
Carol is also a chartered accountant and joined Tittensor and Co in 2009 having been a senior tax manager with Smith & Williamson for many years.
Her expertise is in the areas of partnership and personal tax where she deals with over 100 personal tax cases as well as many partnerships. Carol is highly efficient and completes most personal tax returns during the summer allowing clients to properly plan their personal cash flows (unlike many firms of accountants who burn the midnight oil in January each year to get their client’s tax returns submitted before the personal tax return deadline).
Carol’s interests are gardening, reading, travel and cookery. She is also a trustee and treasurer of the Herts and Essex (Ware) Samaritans.
Kelly joined the firm in 2018 having worked with Hew and Carol in their days at Smith & Williamson where she qualified as an accountant.
Since leaving Smith & Williamson in 2004, she has worked as an accountant to several businesses including property managing agents, surveyors and a medical practice. She also built a portfolio of her own clients including solicitors and travel agents and which are now part of Tittensor and Co Ltd.
Kelly is a specialist in accounting from management to year end accounting, the ever changing world of accounting standards, and in computerised accounting systems.
Kelly lives in Bishops Stortford where she has converted her garage into an office. Outside of work Kelly spends her time looking after three children and dog with her husband.
